. G& N" O; O; e, f! Y7 _When choosing a career, one of the things you must consider is your interests. Why then do so many people not even think about their hobbies when a hobby is an interest? Perhaps it's because even Webster's Dictionary1 defines a hobby as "a pursuit outside one's regular occupation". Maybe this is a rule you should break. After all, no one ever said your hobby had to stay separate from your occupation.  The combination of interest and skill are very compelling reasons to choose a particular career. 1 }; E( I7 L$ \
"Who's going to hire someone who loves making jewelry?" you may ask yourself. Good question. Don't wait for someone to hire you. Start your own business. That may be the best way to incorporate your hobby into your career.  Before you go forward with your plans, though, you should find out whether being an entrepreneur is for you. : p- P8 l7 }) E
Let's say you determine that running a small business isn't for you. You can still turn your hobby into a career, but you may have to get some formal training. Let's say the person who loves making jewelry. He or she may know the latest jewelry styles, has an understanding of what styles look good on different people, and is skilled in using the tools of the trade. A number of options exist for that person. He or she could go to school to learn how to be a jewelry designer or learn to become a jeweler by taking courses at a trade school or by learning on the job.
4 d9 H  T2 f. |When you attempt to turn your hobby into a career, don't forget to do your homework. Be sure to research your career choice thoroughly. There may be aspects of it that just aren't for you. In that case, stick to your day job, and save your hobby for your free time.

: d4 M7 P8 N0 s8 p# bCommunity service is an important component of education here at our university. We encourage all students to volunteer for at least one community activity before they graduate. Passage 3
, ]" \4 ?6 L( V  d5 ]Laws have been written to govern the use of American National Flag, and to ensure proper respect for the flag. Custom has also governed the common practice in regard to its use. All the armed services have precise regulations on how to display the national flag. This may vary somewhat from the general rules. The national flag should be raised and lowered by hand. Do not raise the flag while it is folded. Unfolded the flag first, and then hoist it quickly to the top of the flagpole. Lower it slowly and with dignity. Place no objects on or over the flag. Do not use the flag as part of a costume or athletic uniform. Do not print it upon cushions, handkerchief, paper napkins or boxes. A federal law provides that the trademark cannot be registered if it comprises the flag, or badgers of the US. When the flag is used to unveil a statue or monument, it shouldn’t serve as a covering of the object to be unveiled. If it is displayed on such occasions, do not allow the flag to the ground, but let it be carried high up in the air to form a feature of the ceremony. Lending a helping hand is a reward in itself. Using your skills and expertise to assist the less fortunate can boost your happiness. After all, you’ve accomplished something for the greater good. Bringing some life and light back into someone’s life and seeing their happiness and gratitude is contagious.! ]- `! S! {. a9 d
